personal 31-08-1999 Food Poisoning. Got hit by a spate of food poisoning which got me rushing to the toilet throwing up several times in the middle of the night. Corr, hadn't thrown up for yonks. Mum said it must have been the kuah kacang, which was practically basi, but seemed to taste good to me... In any case, I was in bed while the whole of Malaysia was celebrating Independance Day. work 30-08-1999 Cigre video shooting. Managed to squeeze in the video shoot of both Tan Sri Tajuddin and Dato' Fuad using my digital video cam, and then presented the still-in-progress multimedia cd-rom to the Cigre99 main committee, which they liked very much. work 26-08-1999 Retreat report. Read a one-page report on my trip up to the cool hills of Bukit Tinggi, with Princess Leia (Zuraidah) and Rozy as passengers. personal 23-08-1999 Heartbroken. Today is a day I need to mark in my diary. Make sure you check out Mariah Carey's new single, Heartbreaker (from her upcoming album, Rainbow.) First session on 7-11-1997, last on 4-8-1999. Will be away at Bukit Tinggi Resort for the next two days, somewhere along the way to Genting Highlands, for our departmental restrategising workshop. Pace is still hectic at office, with one more video shoot; also spent time on the weekend learning Macromedia Director 7.0, the authoring tool we're using to produce the multimedia CD-R title. work 19-08-1999 Work, work, and more work.... Have been so atrociously busy the last two weeks, what with giving QuickPlace presentations and training, running back and forth to Bangi for the GIS project, preparing for our departmental retreat, struggling to do the ISO9001 internal quality audit (which I haven't done yet), planning and designing the multimedia CD-R title for Cigre and doing the video shoots for their committee members (which was interesting), and managed to send my Alfa for servicing in between all this hectic schedule. family 08-08-1999 Visited Danial. Wacko uncle finally took time off to visit his newly borne nephew, and the moment the small puff woke up, Abbas' passed him to me, to cradle as well as to feed him with milk bottle. The little carbon-copy of his elder brother, Mikhail gobbles 10-12 ounces of milk per day according to mum Lela (he is just two weeks old!) Also dropped by Yusof's house earlier to install Calligrapher v5.3 on his E-11 palmpc, but his PC didn't have WinCE 2.2, so I have to return on another day. friends 03-08-1999 Lasagne and Karaoke. Cat Lady made a surprise invitation for dinner so the Wackos couldn't refuse. We had Italian, and it was totally delicious! This was followed by the two cheese cakes plus one chocolate paradise mousse I bought, and the apple crumble that she made. Anush, Riz and I were stuffed, but that didn't stop us from making a trip to SS2's Songbird for a singing session (as Star KTV was fully booked) but Jar Jar Binks pulled out at the last minute, leaving the trio entertaining themselves in a large, cold room. family 02-08-1999 Family Tree update. I just discovered after returning from the IT Workshop at Uniten, that I am an uncle of a newly added family member - Danial, who is my brother Abbas' new son. Danial was delivered on 27 July, so the news reached me 4 days later on 31 July! And I've yet to see the new baby! Wot a wacko uncle I am. Anyway, take a look at my family tree. |
