The Eagle Has Landed
Mood:  special
Topic: Office
As we was having tea break at my project office, I spotted an eagle peeking from outside the window! It probably was hungry and noticed us eating. So, we quickly came near it and I took some pictures of it. It didn't fly away - it wasn't afraid of us at all.

If that was not already miraculous to see an eagle (or maybe it was a hawk) on the 20flr of our building, we spotted TWO of them birds!

Yep, everyone who had a mobile phone that can take photos were snapping away like mad. The two hawks were just curiously looking at us all this while.

Hmm... at the end, it felt like WE were the exhibits in a zoo (the hawks were outside, remember...) (btw, sorry for the white reflections; that was silly me holding my document while taking the photos...)

To clean or not to clean
Mood:  lazy
Topic: Home
Today I didn't go out at all. Guess I was too lazy. Slept and surfed the Net, and watched some TV.

I took this picture at the back of our house, outside the kitchen. It shows a rack with cleaning utensils and a slipper. They too aren't doing much. Probably sleeping and resting like me.

Sundays are good for lazing about...

Blooms
Mood:  chillin'
Topic: Home
Our garden is full of flowers, thanks to my mum. There are all sorts of flowers, from orchids to wild varieties. Once in a while, it's nice to just walk about the house and take note of the interesting plants and flowers available.

I did go out today to take my car for a spin. Went to my brother's house and he also test drove my car. He has not driven it for a long time, and was rewarded how thrilling an Italian car can be, and a lot faster than his modified Japanese model.

Power Lines
Mood:  energetic
Topic: Office
It was in the morning and I was standing in the meeting room looking outside, and the view caught my eye.

The sun although somewhat blocked by the electric tower, gave a shimmering outline to the railway tracks below and a dark outline to the cityscape in the horizon.

Everyone is probably busy getting to their office, either by train, as can be seen passing by, or by car, as seen parked below.

I like the curved lines of the tracks leading to the city. Kinda cool.

Italian Service
Mood:  rushed
Topic: Personal
My car had developed a problem with its brakes and was also underperforming. So I had to send it for repairs.

I discovered this shop on the Internet and my brother helped send my car here. It's called FA Italia and the service is good and the prices very reasonable.

Just don't go to pick up your car during lunchtime - it's closed.

Waiting
Topic: Family

While waiting to pick up my nephew from the LRT, i caught a bystander also waiting for someone. He must have been waiting for some time; you can tell by him leaning against the pole with cigarette in hand.

I guess you have to be very patient when waiting for someone...

Towering Office
Mood:  incredulous
Topic: Office
This is where my office is located. It's a modern design and about 60 floors high.

The semi-circle thingy jutting out at the building is a helipad. There are also 'skygardens' every five or so floors, and these are basically an open area beautified with a garden where people can enjoy the outdoor scenery while having their tea breaks.

It's quite a sleek looking structure, but i dread to be caught in the higher floors when they perform fire drills...

Taking a Break
Mood:  cool
Topic: Office
Today I did some technical support work at one of our a branch offices. They were having some problems accessing our intranet, so I was there to reconfigure their PCs.

When that was done, I had some cakes and soft drink at the canteen. The local system administrator was thanking me for solving the issues. The place was empty as is wasn't lunch nor tea time.

It's important to rejoice and reward yourselves even for the small successes.

Shopping at Megamall
Mood:  celebratory
Topic: Personal
I went out this evening to do a bit of shopping. Well, actually to get some gifts for friends at office.

A good time to go to Midvalley Megamall is after 8pm or early in the morning like 10am. You'll most likely get parking and there won't be many people.

I think there's some sales going on, so the usual crowd of shoppers is busily out and about. There's quite a few tourists too.

Well, actually, this place is perpetually covered with patrons. And there's always something new to see.

Normally, at the Centre Court, there's some kind of exhibit or stage presentation. But today, it was empty. Maybe we'll get to see something interesting this weekend...

The PC Fair
Mood:  vegas lucky
Topic: Hobbies
My nephew and I went to PWTC to visit this megasale computer fair. We went there early to avoid the jam.

I bought a 256MB thumbdrive for RM133 and 2 colour ink cartridges for my Epson 830 printer for RM54 each. I estimated a savings of RM110 off normal retail prices! What a bargain!
