Today I did some technical support work at one of our a branch offices. They were having some problems accessing our intranet, so I was there to reconfigure their PCs.

When that was done, I had some cakes and soft drink at the canteen. The local system administrator was thanking me for solving the issues. The place was empty as is wasn't lunch nor tea time.

It's important to rejoice and reward yourselves even for the small successes.

Shopping at Megamall

I went out this evening to do a bit of shopping. Well, actually to get some gifts for friends at office.

A good time to go to Midvalley Megamall is after 8pm or early in the morning like 10am. You'll most likely get parking and there won't be many people.

I think there's some sales going on, so the usual crowd of shoppers is busily out and about. There's quite a few tourists too.

Well, actually, this place is perpetually covered with patrons. And there's always something new to see.

Normally, at the Centre Court, there's some kind of exhibit or stage presentation. But today, it was empty. Maybe we'll get to see something interesting this weekend...

The PC Fair

My nephew and I went to PWTC to visit this megasale computer fair. We went there early to avoid the jam.

I bought a 256MB thumbdrive for RM133 and 2 colour ink cartridges for my Epson 830 printer for RM54 each. I estimated a savings of RM110 off normal retail prices! What a bargain!

Petrol Pumping

Every now and again, I need to feed my car with fuel; it is quite a drinker. I normally fill it half-tank and that lasts about a week. Mind you I do less than 15km per day.

Sometimes there can be a long queue at petrol station as many cars wait in line to fill up their vehicles. Today, I was lucky and the place wasn't busy.

I can't just give my car all the goodies. I need to pamper myself too. So, normally, I buy myself a chocolate bar and a tonic drink to give me the energy boost needed for the day :D

My Virtual Home

This is where I spend most of my time at home. I'd be surfing the Internet and mucking around with my 3D animation.

Thankfully, I have a reasonably fast PC, even though it is a couple years old, and since I'm on Streamyx, my link to the World Wide Web is also quick.

I have a 19" colour monitor that is sharp and also a 5 speaker system including subwoofer that produces awesome THX-like surround sound, just nice to watch my DVD movies.

Ahh, home sweet home...

It was lunchtime and I was bored, so I went up to the highest floor in the building and took this photo.

Apart from a few commercial buildings, most of what you see are people's home. I like the surrounding greenery and the hills in the horizon.

I could actually see people in their homes going about their chores and daily routines. Cats and dogs running around the compound, kids playing in the garden.

It must be nice to live in this neighbourhood. Probably peaceful and quiet.

My project team is working day and night, so they need to be adequately fed. At the end of the day, you'll see all sorts of rubbish collected in a bin.

No matter how systematic you ask them to be, the room eventually becomes a mess. It's human to err, I guess.

The cleaner has quite a bit of work to do today...

When you're stuck at the office with a tight deadline to complete some silly report, your daily diet ends up with some caffeine-boosting tonic.

To allow for very quick preparation of the beverage, we now have all-in-one sachets that just require a mugful of hot H2O to get the job done.

Burger Lunch

I was at office finalising the upgrade to the server software which I tried last week but didn't succeed. This time it worked fine and while the server was doing its processing, I decided to get a bite to eat.

Somehow, I wanted to have a burger, and was missing this particular brand...

Yet, although it was lunchtime, there were not many patrons. Sometimes I wonder how these places compete with other brands. The burgers are delicious, the service prompt and friendly, the setting clean and bright... good enough for a king.
