Hillside Lake
Mood:  happy
Topic: Family
I wanted to do some outdoor photography, so invited my brother for a trip to a nearby dam near Ulu Yam.

The man-made lake is surrounded by lush green hills and is very scenic and serene.

This is the rambutan, a close cousin of the "pulasan" seen below. Generally in bright red and a lot hairier. Juicy and very sweet.

I was at a dinner bbq at a friend's house and there were lots of good food around.

However, what was struck my eyes was this wierd fruit called "pulasan". You have to twist it open to reveal the fruit inside, which looks and taste like rambutan.

It was a relaxing and nice time.

USB Hub and Thumbdrive
Mood:  sharp
Topic: Office
At work today, we were frantically updating our organisation structure. Every head of section wanted to give their comments, so they all connected their thumbdrive to my laptop via a usb hub.

I copied files to seven thumbdrives. The usb hub had only four ports, so I had to copy them separately. It was quite a fun exercise.

Skygarden
Mood:  cool
Topic: Office
If you are tired of working in your office room, you can always go out to the skygarden to have a refreshing open environment as your workplace.

This is our skygarden. Useful for both tea breaks and mini parties.

Break From Fast Food
Mood:  party time!
Topic: Family
Once in a while, it's nice to have an above-than-average meal. Don't have to go all out, just something different.

Cloudburst
Mood:  incredulous
Topic: Personal
Today was a very hard-working day. No meetings, no discussions, just plain work. I have to prepare a presentation for our division, and hopefully will get it ready by tomorrow.

Had to quickly run out of the office to feel a bit of the sunshine. Suddenly spotted this ray of sunbeam bursting from the thick clouds. The actual scene looks much better than the photo.

Maybe I still have some ray of hope....

Entanglement
Mood:  d'oh
Topic: Office
Everyone at the project office who is connected to the corporate network is linked to this tiny hub. This is right under my working table and is beside my feet. Once in a while, i may accidentally kick the hub and someone gets temporarily disconnected.

I think the mess in the picture is a good indication of the current state in the project...

A Visiti to Putrajaya
Mood:  energetic
Topic: Personal
I took my car for a test drive and drove all the way to Putrajaya. Once in a while, you have to get your Italian automobile for a breather.

Actually, it was a few stretches in Cyberjaya that proved to be more suitable to my car. Less traffic, no cops, nice straights and some curves.

My car came through with flying colours.

Wedding Flower Egg
Mood:  special
Topic: Personal
One of my friends got married today, and I was invited to her wedding.

It is customary in a malay wedding to give out these flower eggs (bunga telor) to guests. Apparently, they're a sign of fertility and happiness (I think).

The event went well and was quite well organised. The food was good too. And most of all, I met up with my other friends.
