Paper Tosei
Topic: Family

After having platefuls of rendang and ketupat, we wanted a change of flavour, so decided on Indian cuisine. We went to the nearby Lotus restaurant and i ordered tosei. Light yet tasty!

Raya Yummies
Topic: Family

It's the 1st day of Raya, and our house had prepared tons of food and kuih. There were lots of visitors and some of my friends came too. All of them liked the cooking and we spent chatting about old times.

Car Window Repair
Mood:  irritated
Topic: Personal
My car electric window stopped working today, so I had to go to a car repair shop and get it fixed. I thought it was going to be quick and easy, but simply fixing a switch relay fault took more than an hour.

It was opening and closing of the casing of the door panels and fusebox that took longest. Anyway, it works now and I'm happy.

Extranet Mania
Mood:  rushed
Topic: Office
It's my last working day before a long stretch of Raya holidays. Yet, I have been asked to create by today a special secure, encryped extranet website for use by the Chief Financial Officer and his team. So, I did, in lightning time. This entailed a server configuration and hence my work here in the data centre. That's our Security Officer assisting me in the firewall setting. Well, I'll be on leave till 22 Nov 2004!

Hari Raya Cards
Mood:  bright
Topic: General
It's tradition to send festive cards to your friends and relatives. I received a few during the month of Ramaddan. These cards come in various designs and colours. Normally, people hang them or tack them on the wall. I just decorate it on my desk.

A Malay Kampung House
Mood:  lyrical
Topic: General
With the current promotions on Hari Raya celebrations, a visit to Midvalley Megamall will treat you to a showcase of Malay culture and tradition. You get to view and actually enter a wooden Malay house built in the Centre Court area. Quite well done I think. Surrounding it are stalls selling Malay clothing and food.

A Visit to the Graveyard
Mood:  sad
Topic: Family
My brother and I visited my late Dad's grave early in the morning. The grave was unusually clean and even stranger, there was a small tree growing from the centre of the grave. It wasn't there the last time we visited it.

We also toured the graveyard a bit, and spotted an area where we suspect are for little children becos the grave is small in size. An excellent place for the next creepy zombie movie, don't you think?

Sports Rim
Mood:  on fire
Topic: Personal
This is the sports rim of my car. It is an Allesio 16" alloy called "Monte Carlo" and costs a bomb. I haven't washed it so you can see the dirt on the paintwork. It's fitted with Goodyear Eagle F1 tyres - 205/45.

At our College of Information Technology
Mood:  incredulous
Topic: Office
This is our new IT faculty building at our organisation's university. Classes only begin next month, so it's that new. I had a quick tour of the place and it seems pretty and spacious.

At the front entrance, you'd be greeted by fountain pools and garden pathways fringed with coconut trees. It's almost like a hotel surrounded by a small park.
