Late Working Night
Mood:  irritated
Topic: Office
I thot it would have been a normal work day, and even booked to see a movie tonite. Instead, the silly project team made a slip up and I had to stay back to help finish complete the work.

This is when our friendly Pizza supplier gives us a reason to burn the midnight cholesterol. I have to admit, since it was a long time since I've had one of these, it tasted real good!

Lake View
Mood:  amorous
Topic: Office
Today I was assigned to a new project. It is located where the view is most scenic and beautiful. Although busy to the max, having to work makes you feel rather romantic. The environment and your surroundings does affect you a bit, and it's certainly great to be in a cool looking place.

If I get some time, I may just wander into the park below and see what I can capture...

Traffic Jam
Mood:  rushed
Topic: Office
This was taken on my way to work this morning. Kinda typical highway crawl for most motorists to endure. I'm fortunate becos my home is near to my workplace.

You really got to be patient and keep calm in these jams. No point speeding or driving inconsiderately. Especially if you want the rest of your working day to be enjoyable...

Another thing - it's quite tricky to drive and take snapshots with your XDAII...

Lonely Computers
Mood:  don't ask
Topic: Office
I was at our Data Centre again, hoping to perform the server upgrade. Unfortunately, the initial data transfer took so much longer than i expected, that i aborted the exercise. I will retry the operation next weekend.

One thing though, these computer centres can be a rather cold and lonely place....

Bowling For Fun
Mood:  energetic
Topic: Office
Our division organises games among its staff once in a while to get us to have some fun and strengthen comradeship.

This time it's bowling, and about eight teams (four people each) were in contest with each other.

Needless to say, my team won 2nd place, and you can see my prize below. I guess even though our team didn't have the best players, it was our consistent above-average scores that pulled us through.

First pic taken with my XDAII, while second pic was taken with my Nikon CP5700.

Curious Cat
Mood:  incredulous
Topic: Home
The neighbour's white cat roams to our house once in a while, and sometimes will jump onto the ledge outside my window. She is basically asking for some munchies, and if the kitchen has any leftovers, i definitely hand some to her.

I guess everyone want's a good bite now and again, and white cat knows our home has some of the best yummies in town :)

Meetings All Day Long
Mood:  don't ask
Topic: Office
I seem to be attending meetings upon meetings, spending time discussing what to do, but at the end, we hardly spent time doing the work. Just talk, no action. After all, action speaks louder than words, right?

I had four meetings to go to today, but went to only two (the others i sent my sidekicks to do the honours.)

Notice that in this meeting they only dish out mineral water only. No food, or tidbits, nor coffee or tea. Yet we kill a few trees while at it...

Broadband Blue
Mood:  blue
Topic: Office
I forgot to mention, while I was walking about in the server room, I came across an interesting group of blue-coloured structured cabling. It's funny how it resembles the arteries and veins in our own body, connecting all the important nodes to a central brain.

It probably took hours to install and look neat. Gosh, I feel like taking a scissors and cutting a few of those lines...

I remember those days when I set up networks in our small office; the hubs were entangled with those cables and the cabinet racks resembled a coilful of jumbles.

Oh well, what's important is that it allows me to update my daily blog...!

Server Surfing
Mood:  cool
Topic: Office
Once in a while, I have to work in our Data Centre, a large room full of hi-speed servers. There's over RM50mil worth of equipment here (that's approx US$15m!) Inspite of the hot price, it can be pretty cold in here...

Today, I had to install and configure IBM/Lotus Team WorkPlace v6.5.1, a web-based collaboration system. I'll need another day to perform the migration of the old version, but so far, things are lookin' good.

My Work Desk
Mood:  bright
Topic: Office
Just thot I'd show you how my office room looks like in the morning. Yeah, I'm kinda lucky cos i got two computers, hee hee. The laptop is my main computer, while the pc desktop is for surfing the net... :)

You can see I've got a lot of rubbish crowding my pc. Those are souvenirs collected over the years, with Jiminy Cricket coming straight from Disney World, California when I holidayed there some time ago.
