family 28-03-1999 Selamat Hari Raya Aidil Adha. Everyone else went out, including Mak and Hussien, who went to Bentong visiting our relatives there. I sacrificed by staying at home, updating this website. It was a good thing too, because that afternoon, it rained lions and wolves, that caused a large part of KL to be flooded.

friends 25-03-1999 Planning for Melaka trip. Even before the sunburns has faded off, the Wackos are already listing out the possible itinerary which may include a Tiger Zoo visit, sounds & light show at historic A Famosa, seafood dinner, and a beach picnic at Tanjung Bidara. Let's see how this turns out!

work 24-03-1999 Java, Access, Domino. I've been trying to get a grasp of Java programming, so I got the TNB Library to buy "The Complete Reference Java 1.1" by Patrick Naughton and Herbert Schildt and borrowed it. Am also working on the Share Unit's Dividend Reconcialiation Appl. using MS-Access 97 and have asked Lotus to send me their latest Domino R5 and Quickplace beta on CD.

friends 21-03-1999 Waterfall spree at KKB. This time the wackos decided to trek upto Kuala Kubu Baru's Mother Waterfall where we had a splashing time. Follow this trail for a detailed account of the KKB expedition....

personal 20-03-1999 Installed IE5. Downloaded the latest version of Internet Explorer on my office PC, which was 15MB large, and took hours to complete. But I must say, IE5 is much faster, and has a few nifty improvements here and there. Was at Uncle Abid's house to help check out his modem problems.

work 24-03-1999 Lotus Domino Quickplace demo. Got Lotus/IBM to demonstrate their latest web-based document management solution called Domino.Doc and collaborative intranet known as Quickplace. The latter was more interesting as it was very easy to use and customisable by the end-user.

personal 14-03-1999 Bought transparency adapter. To supplement my Mustek scanner, I invested in an accessory that can be used to scan slides or negatives. At RM500, it costs more than the scanner itself! But I've saved easily RM2000 in the process, by not having to buy a proper slide-scanner. Look at a few sample scans I did from some slides of Tioman.

friends 11-03-1999 Karaoke at KTV. Rizal rounded us up for a rare session at Bangsar where we belted our hearts out except for songs chosen by Rizal, which can only be sung by himself. After that, we had dinner at Iguana's.

personal 09-03-1999 Calligrapher works fine!. Well, I needn't lose sleep over my apprehension about not being able to make full use of the 4MB CompactFlash card. I figured out how to install Calligrapher into the storage card's space, and everything is operating optimumly. Read my review of the E-10.

personal 07-03-1999 Bought E-10's 4MB Flashcard. As Yusof, my brother, had purchased the Calligrapher on-line, and I had installed it successfully into his E-11, I decided to upgrade my E-10's memory to 8MB. However, after installing it, the extra 4MB doesn't go into system memory but instead into storage space, which only works for the voice recorder and note taker. I wonder whether the hand-writing software will install on my palmpc....

friends 02-03-1999 Pulau Redang booking. Even before the surnburns have healed from the PD trip, already we did a booking for another holiday at this beautiful east-coast island. Scheduled for this coming 8 May, it is a special offer of RM488 per person for 3 days, inclusive of flight and accomodation. Five of us will be going, and maybe more to follow...
